- Contract Responsive Teaching International Outreach. Agencies may contact Gerald Mahoney to contract one of the four workshop/training opportunities that are offered by this project. Costs for the workshop are based on a standard fee schedule, plus travel expenses for the speaker(s).
Each workshop or training opportunity has a pre-set maximum number of attendees. In some cases, the maximum enrollment can be adjusted to meet the needs of the agency. The costs for these workshops and training opportunities do not vary in relation to the size of the audience.
Contracting agencies are responsible for advertising for the presentation, or inviting participants to the workshop, along with collecting registration fees, finding a suitable room for the presentation, obtaining audio-visual equipment, and arranging for snacks or meals. Contracting agencies are also responsible for obtaining continuing education credits for participants, although Responsive Teaching will provide the documentation necessary for doing this.
- Sponsor an RT workshop in your region. Agencies may also contact Gerald Mahoney directly to make arrangements to sponsor a Responsive Teaching Workshop or training opportunity in their region. Agencies that choose this option are responsible for all local arrangements, including the room, audio-visual equipment, as well as snacks and beverages for breaks. Agencies are also responsible for advertising the availability of the training opportunity in their region.
Sponsoring agencies have two options for registering participants:
Option 1: Attendees may register directly with Responsive Teaching International Outreach. Responsive Teaching International will then reimburse the sponsoring agency for any approved costs related to the workshop. Sponsoring agencies will receive two free registrations.
Option 2: Participants may register directly with the sponsoring agency. Sponsoring agencies must then pay speaker fees and travel expenses to Responsive Teaching International. With this option, sponsoring agencies can make up to 50% of the profits of the workshop (if applicable). Sponsoring agencies will also receive two free registrations.
